My new grill! Picture taken today, even. What a shocker! My birthday was yesterday and this, this little piece of joy is the present I've wanted for months!

Took this today - everything is blooming like crazy so I cut some lilacs to bring inside, and wanted to get some photos that included our big white flowering tree. Yey spring!

Female Anna's hummingbird

Hummingbirds are one of the things I miss about living in Southern California. The Anna's are permanent residents, unlike most other species. This little lady's abode is the San Diego Botanic Gardens, which are lower down on most people's radar than, say, the Zoo or the Safari Park, but well worth a visit.
